Hello Pack 182 Scouters – Thank you for bringing your scout to our first Pack meeting of the year. We had a great turnout of 73 cubs! (24 Tigers, 11 Wolves, 12 Bears, 9 Webelos I and 17 Webelos IIs). Attached is our newsletter distributed at the meeting. Links below also directs you to additional fliers handed out. Program recap … · Opening ceremonies. Our senior cubs, Webelos II Dens 1 and 2, presented the colors, led the Pledge of Allegiance, Cub Scout Promise, Law of the Pack and Cub Scout Motto. · Duke E. of Webelos I Den 8 led the prayer. · A short game of “Pass the handshake” between ranks. · Summertime activity specialty patches were awarded to scouts and scouters of the Ft. Clinch campout and the USS Yorktown trip. · Summer day camp participants received their beltloops, pins, and Webelos activity badges. · A number of cubs received Recruiter strips for helping out during the Round Ups. My personal thanks to these guys! · Bears Den 10 and Webelos II Den 2 did songs. Very cool! · Pack leaders and committee members were introduced. Without them, there will be no Pack 182! Given the size of our Pack, please consider helping your den leaders and sign up to help with one of our activity committees. · 4 new Webelos II scouts from Den 2 received their Bobcat ranks and recited the requirements, demonstrated the cub scout sign, salute, and handshake. · Marci Fulton, our popcorn chair, explained this year’s campaign, goals, Show-and-Sell dates, and sign-ups. Wolf cub Casey F. modeled the popcorn costume for Show-and-Sell. · 5 boy scouts from Troop 182 led the cubs with follow-me chants. (What’s the bird’s name again? Agaflaga …) · October activities (listed below) were announced. · Closing · Bake sale, sign-ups.
